Dimapur, May 13: St. Mary’s Cathedral Higher Secondary School, Leire, Kohima inaugurated the digitalized classes rooms on the occasion of National Technology Day on Friday with Most Rev. Dr. James Thoppil, Bishop of Kohima as chief guest.
The occasion was fully managed by LKG students of the school, who assembled the computer system for the inauguration. The students invited Most Rev. Dr. James Thoppil to declare SMCHSS digital.
Bishop conveyed his message through St. Mary’s School App to congratulate and appreciate the principal and staffs, students and parents for the yeoman achievement. He also expressed the concern and vision of the Catholic Church in Nagaland that Church cooperates with God’s plan in imparting the knowledge to the children of all the Catholic schools. Digitalization of the school system is the mark of such cooperation, he said.
The Digital system in St.Mary’s School Kohima consists of the digitally animated test books, the video recordings and wi-fi enabled class rooms, online classes, use of school app and website to connect the parents, digital library and digital books for the students.
The school administrative board handed over the digital tools to all teaching faculties and digital books to the LKG students and the School Management Board under the leadership of FP Solo lit the digital candles and handed over to the students.
