St John College rescues Slow Loris

Dimapur, April 22: The Department of Zoology, St John College rescued a Slow Loris from the roadside outside the college gate on the morning of April 20.
Slow Loris are nocturnal, tree dwelling creatures on the IUCN Critically Endangered list, and must be handled with care.
After being gently gathered up the department made contact with authorities at Nagaland Zoological Park, Rangapahar, Dimapur who promptly arrived to take the animal into care.
The College has congratulated Imtiong and the Zoology Department for their intervention, and thanked the Zoological Park personnel for their swift response.
