
Dimapur, September 9: A meeting via video conference was held under the chairpersonship of Hibu Tamang, Additional Commissioner Police of Special Police unit of North-Eastern Region (SUPNER), Delhi Police.
The Commissioner Police SPUNER thanked the officials from all the Bhawans for acting proactively to provide help to the north-eastern people landing in Delhi for different purpose as well as for the good co-ordination between SPUNER and State Bhawans.
He also informed that a new building for SPUNER unit is coming up at Nanakpura and that Delhi Police has recruited around 1100 personnel from different Northeast States and they are deputed especially in areas where north-eastern people are residing in high in numbers.
The purpose of the meeting was to re-activate the contacts with the north-eastern Bhawans as no physical meeting has taken place during last one and half years due to the pandemic.
Requesting all the Bhawans to keep in touch with SPUNER for security related issues if required, from Nagaland state, Chief Resident Commissioner and Additional Chief Secretary, Joyti Kalash; Joint Resident Commissioner, Sarita Yadav and Dy. Resident Commissioner Nagaland House Delhi, Wennyei Konyak attended the conference.
