Dimapur, March 29: Nagaland Chief Minister, Neiphiu Rio today disclosed that his government is arranging a special aircraft through the Indian Air Force to air drop essential and emergency health equipments like PPE kits, emergency medicines for private hospital and equipments for disaster management.
In a tweet, Rio stated: “#Nagaland Govt. is arranging a special aircraft through the @IAF_MCC to air drop essential & emergency health equip. like PPE kit, emergency medicines for pvt. hospitals & equipments for disaster management. Grateful to @PMOIndia @DefenceMinIndia @rajnathsingh for the assistance”
He also expressed gratitude to Prime Minister’s Office, Defence Minister for assistance.
In another tweet, Rio stated that to strengthen the capacity of the state Health Department, the Government of Nagaland has sanctioned Rs 21.60 crore to extend logistical support to quarantine centres and hospitals for better management and efficiency.
He also urged the Health Department to leave no stone unturned to have the required facilities up in place at the earliest and also ensure that doctors and health workers are provided with all necessary safety equipments to help them work wih confidence.
