Spelling Bee Competition held at Kiphire

Dimapur, November 2: Kiphire district administration under the auspices of Niti Aayog’s AKAM celebrations organised a District level school Spelling Bee Competition on November 1 in the DC’s conference hall Kiphire.
This was the first Spelling Bee Competition organised in the district with the aim to encourage students’ learning through improvement of vocabulary and understanding of words.
The competition saw participation from 10 schools with 23 students. After three rounds of spelling challenges, four winners were announced. First prize was begged by Seye from Loyola Higher Secondary School, 2ndposition by Thingrila A Sangtam Saramati View Modern School, 3rd by Tsurikhumla Christian School Pungro and 4th position by Sarah Poudel, El Beth School Kiphire.
DC Kiphire, T Wati Aier appreciated the efforts of the students and urged the students to participate in co-curricular activities which help in strengthening their academic performance. He also gave away the prizes to the four winners.
The competition was moderated by Ane Khieya, EAC Hq and judged by MGN fellow Sukanya and Niti Aayog Byju’s Fellow Prarthana.
