Special camps for voters’ enrollment in Mon, Dimapur & Phek

Dimapur, February 21: Deputy Commissioner and District Election Officer of Mon & Dimapur and ADC & ERO Phek has informed that special camps will be organized at all polling stations under the districts of Mon, Dimapur and Phek on February 23 (Saturday) and February 24 (Sunday) for enrollment of left out eligible voters, keeping in view the impending general election to the Lok Sabha, 2019 and in order to provide further opportunity in campaign mode to all un-enrolled eligible persons to get their name registered in the electoral rolls during continuous updation period, so that they are not deprived of voting in elections.
EPIC (Electoral Photo Identity Card) card holders have been asked to check their names in the electoral rolls and fill up Form 6 if their name does not exist in the roll for some reason. EPIC is only an identification document and does not guarantee franchise if name of the person is not in the electoral rolls of the concerned polling station.
The DCs/ADC directed Booth Level Officers (BLOs) to be present in the camps to facilitate filling up of forms. Interested person, electors have been requested to visit the special camps at their concerned polling stations to check and verify their names in the electoral rolls.
In Dimapur, the DC all Booth Level Officers of all 5 assembly constituencies under Dimapur District to conduct the special camps in their respective polling stations positively.
