DIMAPUR, DECEMBER 5: Speaker, Nagaland Legislative Assembly, Sharingain Longkumer released Vision Mokokchung 2040 at ADC Planning Hall Mokokchung on December 5. The document was prepared and published by Mokokchung District Art & Culture Council (MDACC) and Mayangnokcha Award Trust (MAT) collaboration between the Mokokchung town Quasquicentennial Planning & Organizing Committee and the Citizens of Mokokchung.
Speaking in the function, the NLA Speaker said that it is a pride that Mokokchung has produced some of the finest personalities and forerunners and pioneered in many fields. In order to continue the trend he called upon all to have a dream/vision, which is rightly documented in the book Vision Mokokchung 2040.
“We have to move forward where time leads us. We cannot remain stagnant in one place only in this digitalized generation. This is our soil and country, let us all uplift our land by institualising our activities,” he added.
He also congratulated all, especially MDACC and MAT for making the document vision Mokokchung 2040 a reality and hoped that the vision will be a driving force to guide and lead the people towards the Vision Mokokchung 2040.
Deputy Commissioner, Mokokchung, Limawabang Jamir, in his short speech, congratulated MDACC and MAT representatives and everyone involved in bringing the Vision into reality.
He also called upon all the citizens for their involvement because without the active participation of the citizens the Vision will be a failure he said.
Sentilong Ozukum, EAC Hq., chaired the programme. A brief introduction of Vision Mokokchung 2040 was given by I Temsu Jamir, Vice President, MDACC.
