Dimapur, December 30: MLA, Er Picto Shohe graced the 60th session of Shena Old Student Union on December 27 as chief guest on the theme ‘Distinctive of Sumi identity’.
Speaking on the occasion, the MLA encouraged the students’ community to uphold cultural activities in order to preserve our identity and cautioned the young generation not to sail away from the forefather’s habit of honesty and sincerity. He stressed on the importance of having a good educational foundation which will enable a person to be responsible and self dependent in the society.
He reminded the students of the words ‘obedience and blessings’ in the Bible and asked them to be obedient to their parents and elders for assured blessings from God. He appreciated the village elders and Church leaders for all the good things happening in and around the village for peaceful coexistence and a brighter future.
