SMMU team visits Mongsenyimti village

Dimapur, April 22: Mission Director Imtimenla, joint secretary to RD along with SMMU team visited Mongsenyimti village under RD Block Chuchuyimlang Block Mokokchung. The visit was undertaken as a monitoring support under NSRLM, which at present has a targeted coverage of 11 districts, 74 Blocks and 1241 villages in the State. The team interacted with the VLO’s and Community Resource Persons (CRPs) for implementing livelihoods strategies in the Block and the team also visited the livelihoods sites such as nutritional garden and piggery breeding unit project at Mongsenyimti village.


Moatoshi , ADPM DMMU Mokokchung presented the comprehensive achievements report in the District for the FY 2020-2021.
The Mission Director exhorted the SHGs members by highlighting the success of women SHGs in NSRLM across the State and appealed to the village council, elders and every individual for their cooperation in the success of the mission.
M. RollanLotha, Chief Operating Officer, NSRLM while praising the DMMU Mokokchung as a piloting district for the significant progress made in the NSRLM target reiterated the importance of documentation. He shared about the Mission’s mandate on formation of community level federation and intervention in the lives of the rural poor household through livelihoods support.
He urged the team to come up with innovations towards creating a sustainable income generating activities so to make Mongsenyimti Village as a ‘Model Village’
The programme was hosted by the District Mission Management Unit (DMMU) Mokokchung and the Block Mission Management Unit (BMMU Chuchuyimlang ).
