Dimapur, April 20: A skill training for rural employment was organised by Global Concepts Nagaland (GCN) in collaboration with the Nagaland Khadi & Village Industries Board (NKVIB) at Town Council Hall, Mon on April 20.
Deputy Commissioner of Mon, Thavaseelan K expressed gratitude to Global Concepts Nagaland and NKVIB. He stressed on the importance of self-reliance and called upon the participants not to attend the training just to receive certificates but for their livelihoods. The DC requested the banks to grant loans to genuine people to enable them to start their ventures.
Chief consultant, Vikas Rao highlighted on the objective of the workshop and stated that the workshop was to help participants establish business and skill development.
Four venues have been selected for the skill training workshop: food processing at Mon Town Council Hall, carpentry at DRDA Hall, beekeeping at NPF conference hall and toilet & laundry soap making at KU conference hall.
