SKH rejects any split within NPGs

Nagaland News

DIMAPUR, NOVEMBER 23: The Sumi Kukami Hoho (SKH) has condemned and firmly rejected any split within Naga political groups “as such move would only jeopardize and prolong the much awaited solution”.

Reacting to the split in the NSCN (R), SKH president H Kashito Yepthomi, general secretary Hetoho S Zhimomi and finance secretary Ghuhevi Khujumi, in a statement, said when every Naga is eagerly anticipating final political solution to the vexed Indo-Naga issue, further defragmentation within the Naga political groups is unwelcomed and undesired.
And contrary to the declaration of full support to Akato Chophy-led NSCN (R) by the Western Sumi Kukami Hoho (WSKH), the SKH said it does not support any particular group.
Reiterating the stand and the resolution of the 14 Tribal Hohos of Nagaland, the Nagaland GBs Federation and other Nagaland based organization, the SKH said it does not support any particular group but firmly reject any split within Naga political groups. In the larger interest of Nagas, the SKH urged both Wangtin Naga and Akato Chophi to sit together and work out the differences and reconcile and come together as it is the desire of the people, it appealed.
The SKH also appealed to the NNPG leaders to reconsider and revoke the expulsion order of Akato Chophi but intervene once again to see that the differences are buried once and for all.

The Hoho further urged all political groups to be united and pursue for an early solution to the protracted Naga issue.
