SJU organizes career guidance programme

Dimapur, April 12: The Department of History in collaboration with the Institution’s Innovation Council (IIC), St. Joseph University, Nagaland, conducted a Career guidance program on the theme, “Be Extraordinary”. The resource person was Metsivizo Phira, Inspector of Excise, Government of Nagaland, Honorary Faculty & Proprietor of Achievers Academy. The program was chaired by V Shinatoli, Assistant Professor, Department of History. The welcome address was given by Dr. Avinuo Chupuo, HoD, Department of History.
Metsivizo Phira encouraged the students to identify and explore career options, make informed decisions about their future, and develop strategies to achieve their goals. He also shared his own experiences, steps, and ways to prepare for the civil service examination and never to work on the principles of the rocket which he says is the best example relatable to the Naga people.
He also clarified the doubts and queries of the students and exhorted them to be innovative, and creative, develop skills and work culture, be extraordinary, and dare to go beyond extra mile. The program was a resounding success.
Along with 4 faculties 125 students attended the programme.
