SJU attends G20 University Connect Finale

Dimapur, September 28: St. Joseph University, Nagaland, Assistant Professor Dr. Moameren Pongen, Department of Political Science, and ten students attended the G20 University Connect Finale programme at Bharat MandapamIn New Delhi.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi addressed the programme, highlighting what India achieved during India’s G20 Presidency. The key achievement is the “Unanimous New Delhi Declaration,” the Inclusion of the African Union in G20 as a permanent member, the International Biofuel Alliance led by India, and India’s Middle East European corridor.
He underlined that if the youth of India are determined, then nothing can stop India from becoming a developed and atmanirbhar nation by 2047.
The G20 University Connect Engaging Young Minds was an initiative undertaken by the Ministry of External Affairs, Government of India in collaboration with the Research and Information System for Developing Countries (RIS) to build the understanding of India’s G20 Presidency among India’s youth and enhance their participation in different G20 event. Under the initiative, St. Joseph University, Nagaland, was one of the Universities selected to organize a lecture series, which it organized on April 20.
The G20 University Connect Finale was attended by about 3,000 students, faculty members, and Vice Chancellors of the participating Universities while students from across the country joined the live event.
