DIMAPUR, SEPTEMBER 3: Deputy Commissioner, Dimapur, Rajesh Soundararajan, has notified that the existing lockdown measures will continue to remain in force in Dimapur with additional relaxations from September 3 to 16.
According to a notification issued today, shops/business establishments dealing with essential goods and commodities such as vegetable, fish/meat vendors, milk booths, bakeries, local grocery stores, public utility services like LPG and e-commerce services, etc., may remain open on all the days from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m.
All other shops/business establishments dealing with kinds of goods/items/articles and also all shops located in New Market, Hongkong Market and Hazi Park are permitted to open from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday.
Any person violating this order would be penalized as per the provisions of Section 51 to 60 of the Disaster Management Act 2005 besides legal action under Section 188 of the IPC, he stated.
Deputy Commissioner & Chairman, District Task Force Kohima, Gregory Thejawelie, NCS informed that the existing lock down measures and relaxations for the various activities, as laid down in the DC’s order of even number dated August 18, 2021, shall extend in Kohima district till September 16, 2021.
Any action (s) in contravention to the laid down regulation shall deem to have committed an offence punishable under Section 188 of the Indian Penal Code and relevant provisions of the Disaster Management Act, 2005, he stated.
