Shahid Kapoor follows Deepika Padukone to Madame Tussauds, to get a wax statue

The ever expanding galaxy of Bollywood stars at Madame Tussauds will have another member. Just on Monday, the world was informed that actor Deepika Padukone’s statue will adorn the famed museum in London and Delhi. The latest is that her Padmaavat co-star Shahid Kapoor too will be cast in stone — wax, in this case — at the famous museum.
The actor took to Instagram to reveal the same. He wrote: “Keep an eye out. Coming soon.” He can be seen holding an artificial eye close to his right eye. Next to him, we see a hand holding a box of artificial eyes in a Madame Tussauds box.
On Monday, Deepika too had shared two pictures from her trials, where she can be seen checking an artificial eye and in another picture, a face measuring equipment is held close to her face.
According to reports, Deepika’s London statue should be ready by early 2019, while her Delhi statue will take some more time. No time frame is known in Shahid’s case.
Meanwhile, Shahid’s new home in Mumbai has caught the fancy of his fans. According to a DNA report, Shahid has purchased the duplex for Rs 56 crore and paid Rs 2.91 crore as stamp duty to the government for its registration. The flat is on the high-rise’s 42nd and 43rd floors; the building’s name is Three Sixty West. The report says area of the floors is 427.98 square metre and 300.48 square metre including a balcony of 40.88 square metre.
On the work front, Shahid has Batti Gul Meter Chalu and the Hindi remake of Telugu hit Arjun Reddy.
