SF apprehends NSCN cadres

NSCN Cadres

Dimapur, October 17: Security forces in an operation along with police apprehended a cadre of NSCN (KN) near Naga United in Dimapur on October 16.
Based on specific intelligence, the security forces launched an operation and apprehended the individual, who is suspected the individual was involved in extortion activity in the area.
According to a press release issued by security forces, the troops recovered one pt 32 mm Pistol with magazine, two unused booklet, 13 leafs of a booklet, 23 loose extortion slip, seven GPRN assignment letter duly sign by V Iheto, Secretary Union Territory and one mobile phone from the possession of the individual.
The apprehended person along with recovered items have been handed over to Diphupar Police Station for further investigations.
NSCN (IM) cadres apprehended
In another operation, security forces apprehended two cadres of NSCN (IM) near Dhansiri in Dimapur on October 16.
Based on specific input, the security forces launched an operation and apprehended the two cadres involved in suspicious activities in the area. The troops also recovered 20 live rounds of ammunition of 70 mm, 2 pairs uniform of NSCN (IM), 76000 WY tablets amounting to Rs 7.6 Crore approximately and Rs 790000 in cash from the possession of the individuals.
The apprehended persons along with recovered items have been handed over to East Police Station, Dimapur for further investigations.
NSCN (IM), NSCN (K-YA) cadre held in Jairampur
Security Forces in an operation apprehended 2 high ranking cadres of NSCN (IM), and one cadre of NSCN(K-YA) in general area Jairampur on October 14 last.
Based on specific input, Security forces launched an operation in general area Jairampur and apprehended two high ranking cadres of NSCN(IM) who were actively involved in extortion activities and one cadre of NSCN(K-YA) involved in drug peddling activities.
The apprehended cadres of NSCN(IM) have been handed over to Jairampur police station and NSCN (K-YA) cadre has been handed over to Nampong police station.
