Kohima, December 30: The 1st Kenei Kro-u Kiruphema (KKK) wrestling meet 2019 concluded today with Makolie Suosahie as the special guest at Kiruphema village of Kohima district.
Seyievilie Mor emerged as the 1st KKK champion and received a cash award of Rs.10000, Sedevilie Shosahie emerged as the second and got Rs.7000, Seyineikho Zhünyü and Rokosezo Hozoyie were 3rd & 4th place winners to receive Rs.5000 each.
Altogether, 20 wrestlers participated the wrestling meet.
Gracing the occasion as special guest, NPF general secretary Kohima Division, Makolie Suosahie said it is a tournament to promote young talented wrestlers for future and also to bring unity within the people of Kiruphema and outside.
He also urged the wrestlers to be disciplined and to be proud of their talents.
Speaking on the importance of unity, Shosahie said unity can bring peace and understanding.
Expressing happiness over the participation of 1st ever KKK wrestling championship, he said “all players have added flavor to the tournament and portraying a positive image of Kiruphema village amongst the sports fraternity. (Page News Service)
