Dimapur, November 11: Following an assurance from the state Government that it is setting up the Nagaland Staff Selection Board (NSSB), which would be tasked with the responsibility of recruitment of Grade-III staff under the Government, the Naga Students Federation (NSF) has informed all its federating units, sub-units, and the students’ community that the first phase of agitation against the inaction of the government in setting up the NSSB has been kept on abeyance.
The NSF appreciated Chief Minister, Neiphiu Rio and his Cabinet colleagues for responding to the aspiration of the Naga youths and students towards promoting meritocracy by setting up a committee on the same.
It further appealed to the committee headed by Sentiyanger Imchan, Additional Chief Secretary and Development Commissioner, to examine the matter on its true merit and accordingly forward its recommendation to the state Government within the stipulated time.
The NSF expressed optimism that the state Government would set up the Nagaland Staff Selection Board (NSSB) at the earliest based on the examination of the Committee recommendation.
