‘Ban all Gr ‘C’ posts recruitment till SSB is implemented’
Dimapur, August 21: The Naga Students’ Federation (NSF) has asked the Government of Nagaland to set up Staff Selection Board (SSB) within one month failing which it would take up befitting action in the interest of students’ community of the State.
In an ultimatum to State Chief Minister, NSF president Ninoto Awomi and general secretary Liremo R Kikon reminded that the federation had submitted a memorandum on June 11 last demanding setting up of committee for implementation of SSB by the State Government within 2 months.
But despite the deadline having lapsed on August 12, the NSF is yet to receive any official communication from the Government neither has any favourable development in tune with the demand of the federation been reported by any source thus far, it rued.
In light of this, the NSF demanded the Government, in addition to the federation’s existing demand for setting up of SSB, to issue notification banning all recruitments to ‘Group C’ posts until the implementation of SSB by the State Government; issue notification for scrapping down of departmental exams for recruitment to ‘Group C’ posts and setting up of SSB and that all existing vacancies be filled through open examination.
The NSF also submitted a draft policy for SSB with the ultimatum for reference and implementation by the Government.
