Dimapur, November 5: The Nagaland Voluntary Consumers’ Organisation (NVCO) has urged the Government of Nagaland to set up Lokayukta in the State at the earliest.
In a representation to State Chief Secretary as part of its observation of Vigilance Awareness Week, the NVCO asked the Government to set up Lokayukta to eradicate corruption in Nagaland.
The NVCO was also optimistic of eradication of corruption in Nagaland following the statements made by the Governor and Chief Minister on Vigilance Awareness Week that the Government will go all out to eradicate corruption in the State.
“Let us not just preach but put into practice and implement it so that the primary objective of the Central Vigilance Commission conducting Vigilance Awareness Week could be achieved in building a good nation,” said a press release issued by NVCO President Kezhokhoto Savi. (Page News Service)
