Sensitization on Covid vaccination held at Akuluto town

Dimapur, July 25: Sensitization cum awareness on COVID-19 Vaccination was held on July 25 at Akuluto town, Zunheboto.
Dr. J. Hokugha Sema, DVBO, NVBDCP, Zunheboto, encouraged and motivated the participants to take special initiative. He informed the public not to panic but to take precautions seriously so that one can be safe from the virus.


He highlighted the participants and talked about contact tracing risk communication and social stigma. He encouraged for more community participation.
He told the participants not to panic and emphasized that prevention is the best way to prevent Coronora virus and encouraged the participants to maintain social distancing.
He appealed to all the participants to come forward and get vaccinated and not miss the opportunity. He further encouraged all the participants to get vaccinated and not to believe in the misconceptions about the vaccine from the social media.
He also gave detailed explanation on the Covishield vaccine and how the doses are administered. He appealed to all the participants to get vaccinated in order to stay safe and to protect oneself, family and neighbours, citing that frontline workers are in the high risk exposure.
He also gave a detailed report on the number of healthcare workers in Zunheboto who have been vaccinated for the first dose and second dose, and the number of villages in Zunheboto with 100% vaccination.
The meeting was followed by interaction and discussion with the Resource Person and the participants.
The Sensitization meeting was attended by medical staffs, GB’s, Council members, School Headmasters and Student leaders. (Page News Service)
