
Dimapur, March 7: A one-day orientation cum sensitization meeting on Communication plan for COVID-19 Vaccination for Peren District was held at CHC Jalukie on March 4. The program was attended by the IEC staff under Chief Medical Office Peren, Nagaland State Rural Livelihood Mission staff’s under Peren District and Integrated Child Development Services staff’s under Peren District. Altogether there were 20 participants.
Pezanguno Celine Secii, District Media Officer, CMO Peren highlighted about the focus areas for Communication plan for COVID 19 vaccination stating that COVID 19 vaccination is voluntary, through positive and correct information around vaccine, a positive vaccine seeking behaviour has to be promoted. She requested and urged the line departments for coordination for a healthier and extensive communication in disseminating the right information and to reach out to each and every part of the District. She also shared on how to plan out for the awareness campaign in the District.
Brief discussion was held where the group decided to carry out all levels of communication platform to disseminate the right information to the general public.
It was decided to hold staging platform along with the Church leaders and Panchayati Raj Institutions along with the Administration to create mass awareness in all the four blocks and also to reach out to the grassroots level starting with the NSRLM during their group meetings in the villages, ICDS with the Anganwadi’s etc.
