Kohima, February 25: The Day-4 of Vigyan Sarvatra Pujyate (Science festival) at NASTEC Kohima on Friday commenced started with a talk on the theme “Science, Technology and Innovation for Self Reliance/Atmannirbhar Bharat” by Scientist E, Defence research and Development Organisation (DRDO) Dr. Daya Lama.
Dr. Lama spoke about the centres of excellence created in various institutions and DRDO’s evolution, which brings out the idea of self-reliance and further look into new arenas of research in Science and Technology.
He also dwelt on defence aircraft, vehicles and equipment.
A short film was also screened to display the achievements of DRDO.
The other highlight of the programme includes Lego Robotics demonstration, lab visit, photo booth, poster exhibition and quiz competition.
A total number of 114 students from G. Rio HSS, Mezhür HSS, Fernwood HSS, and Christ King HSS participated during the day’s programme.
Painting competition, Slide Show, Model Contest and Poem writing are lined up for Day 5 on Saturday. (Page News Service)
