DIMAPUR, JANUARY 12: The Nagaland Board of School Education (NBSE) has informed the heads of registered institutions that the Petroleum Conservation Research Association (PCRA), under the aegis of Ministry of Petroleum & Natural Gas, is organising the Saksham National Competition 2020-21 for school children, in online mode, to raise awareness on the importance of fuel conservation and environmental protection.
The competition, which started on January 4, will last till February 10.
For effective communication, students may choose to present their ideas and messages for conserving petroleum products and reducing emissions, in English, Hindi or Regional languages.
The three competitions are: essay writing; painting; and quiz. Students of classes 7 to 10 are eligible to compete. The incentive awards for the competition have been made very attractive in the form of cash prizes, the DIPR reported.
Schools are required to evaluate the entries made by their students and upload the best two entries to the PCRA’s web portal. The detailed instructions for conducting the competitions by the schools and online submission for each competition are available on the PCRA’s web portal.
All heads of registered institutions have been requested to disseminate the information and encourage interested children to participate in the competition.
