Scholarship Schemes For ST Students in Nagaland

The Government of Nagaland is helping the students of the backward areas to continue with their education. The Directorate of Higher Education, Nagaland is providing various scholarships to the students which help them to pursue their higher education without thinking of the finances. The students belonging to the reserved category are provided with the schemes and these have been to help them continue their Graduation or Post Graduation. The DGE is providing the State Technical Scholarship for the students who wish to pursue the Diploma or the Graduate Courses. The other scholarship for which the applications are ongoing has been the Nagaland State Merit Scholarship which is for all those who are appearing in the 2nd year of their Post Graduate Course.

The Nagaland State Research Scholarship is also provided to the students who are pursuing the PhD Courses in India. The individuals who are suffering with a disability shall be provided the benefit of scholarship and one has to check the eligibility along with the application criteria to it.

State Technical Scholarship

The DGE is providing the Scholarship named as the State Technical Scholarship to the students belonging to the ST category.
The financial assistance is provided to the students who wish to pursue the Diploma or any Graduate Course in Engineering Courses.
The parents shall not have income above Rs 6 lakh and the applicant shall not be the employee of the Government sector.
The applicants who are applying in the Forestry Course are eligible to apply for the Scholarship.

Post Matric Scholarship Scheme

The benefit is provided by the DGE to the students appearing for the post matric course and this is provided to help the students pursue higher education.
The income of the families shall not be above Rs 2.5 lakh and the Institution shall have a valid AISHE code.
The students who have failed their previous examination are not eligible to apply
If the students have a study break of more than 2 years, they can’t apply for this scholarship.

Nagaland State Merit Scholarship

The DGE is providing the scholarship to the students of the ST category and the applicant post matric is eligible to apply for the scholarship.
The application shall be completed by those applying for the 1st year of the Course.

The last date of the application has been 30 September 2025 and to apply for it, you shall visit the website scholarship.nagaland.gov.in
The applicant shall provide the bank account to get the amount of scholarship.

Nagaland State Research Scholarship

This benefit shall be provided to the applicants who are pursuing the Ph.D course from the recognized University in India.
The application shall be provided to the beneficiaries of the previous year and the ones who have applied for the scholarship more than 3 times shall not be eligible to apply for the scheme.
The applicant shall not be a Government employee.
If any of the applicants has provided the false document, they shall be blacklisted from the scholarship program in that case.
The application process shall remain open from 7 July 2025 to 30 September 2025 and the application has to be completed through the website scholarship.nagaland.gov.in

Scholarship For Person With Disability

This scholarship is available for the person with disability and those belonging to the scheduled tribe.
The annual income of the applicant’s parents shall not be above Rs 2.5 lakh.
The applicants shall be studying in institutions valid under AISHE.
The scholarship shall be provided to the individuals from Class 1 to 8.
The applicant shall not be getting other Scholarship benefits.
The application window shall be live from 1 August 2025 to 30 November 2025.
