Scattered patchy light rain likely till 27 or 28: NSDMA

DIMAPUR, JANUARY 26: The Nagaland State Disaster Management Authority has informed that many parts of Nagaland may receive scattered patchy light rain activities until January 27 or 28.
In a press release, it stated that weather will clear up thereafter. “Both day and night temperatures are expected to remain below normal until first week of February. Minimum temperatures in Kohima will remain between 4 and 6 degree and maximum will be 16 to 17 ? until January 29. Thereafter, there will be a gradual increase”, it stated.
It, however, did not provide similar information for other places of the State.
“Significant weather activity is not expected until end of February. Day temperatures will start increasing post February 10 and days will become comfortable and sunny. However, morning and night will remain cold over hilly regions especially (at) Kohima, Phek, Tuensang and cool over plain areas such as Dimapur. The present weather condition is due to cyclonic circulation over Bangladesh and also the western disturbances remnant from the Himalayan region”, it stated.
