Dimapur, August 25: The Southern Angami Students’ Union (SASU) has issued rules and regulations for students studying within Southern Angami jurisdiction to ensure good conduct and discipline among students.
In a release, SASU said it will now allow loitering around in uniforms and during class hours. Students coming to school/ colleges through private vehicle or boarding other student’s vehicle have been asked “not to indulge in any other activities against the purpose of transportation to school or college.”
The union warned that if any student is caught loitering, driving private vehicles during class hours outside the college/ school premise, the union will seize the vehicle and impose disciplinary actions.
The union said any vehicles carrying students meet with any untoward incident/ accident other than mechanical failure, the vehicle driver will be banned to use the vehicle “for commercial activities/purposes.”
It also noted that “misconduct in the form of any immoral activities; disrespecting teachers/lecturers/ asst. professors/professors/ administrators (challenging or threatening them with no valid reasons) will not be tolerated.”
The union also asked students to observe and follow the incumbent “students’ code” of Angami Students Union (ASU).
