
DIMAPUR, JUNE 3: For five consecutive years, a Government school in Mokokchung has managed to produce 100% success rate in the annual High School Leaving Certificate Examinations.
Bucking the trend of poor performances by State-run schools and sustaining this divergent momentum for the past five years is the Government High School at Saring Village in Mokokchung District.
A press release on Saturday informed that the School had organised a thanksgiving and felicitation ceremony on June 1 “to acknowledge and applaud the achievements of all the successful candidates who had cleared the HSLC Examination 2023 and brought laurels to the school”.
The Teacher-in-charge of GHS Saring, Imkongyapang narrated the journey of the School over the past five years.
“He also gave credit to the church leaders for organising dedication prayer programme for the students every year, SMDC and Village Council for their material and financial support”, it stated.
He thanked the parents for their care and support, and congratulated the successful students.

Sentinenla, District Education Officer of Mokokchung, congratulated the students and teachers for securing 100% success in HSLC exams for the past 5 years.
She termed it a great achievement and remarked that the success of the School was “because of the passionate teachers working in the School, the support from the community and the hard work of the students”.
N Orenthung Kikon, EAC, Longchem; Imkongwapang, Assistant District coordinator SAMAGRA, student leaders of Japukong and Saringyim, Saringyim Village Council members, church leaders and parents attended the event.
Saringyim Village Council also awarded Rs 5,000 each to the successful students.
