RSZ observes first Naga flag hoisting day

Kohima, March 22: Rengma Selo Zi (RSZ) today commemorated the 62nd Naga National flag hoisting day at Parashen at Tseminyu by holding a picnic-cum-gathering at Phentejon.
Sharing a brief history of the situation back then, Benjamin Lorin highlighted the journey and stay of NNC president A. Z. Phizo while hiding in Rengma soil till his departure to London following a prayer programme in Rumesinyu village, stated a release issued by RSZ president Kenneth Kath.
Lorin also cited the various atrocities meted out to Rengmas like burning of houses and granaries in Sendenyu and Phenshenyu and other Rengma villages.
Kath also recalled that Lathong Kempand and Keshenle Kent weaved the first Naga flag and since then Parashen has remained a secret and sacred place for all Nagas alike.
