DIMAPUR, MARCH 14: Polling for the election of the solitary Rajya Sabha Member of Parliament from Nagaland will be conducted in the conference hall, Annex Room of the Assembly Secretariat on March 31.
An official notification on Monday stated that nomination papers may be obtained and delivered by a candidate or his proposer to the Returning Officer or the Assistant Returning Officer at Room No. 65, Nagaland Legislative Assembly Secretariat, between 11 a.m. and 3 p.m. on any day (other than public holiday) not later than March 21.
The nomination papers will be taken up for scrutiny at 12 Noon on March 22 at the office of the Returning Officer; notice of withdrawal of candidature may be delivered by a candidate or his proposers or his election agent, who has been authorised in writing by the candidate to deliver it to either the Returning Officer or the Assistant Returning Officer before 3 p.m. on March 24.
In the event of the election being contested, the poll will be taken on March 31 between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m.
