Rs 14,921.34 lakhs to Nagaland under Anganwadi Services during 2020-21

DIMAPUR, FEBRUARY 9: The Centre released Rs 14,921.34 lakhs to Nagaland under Anganwadi Services during 2020-21. Out of this, the fund utilized by the State is Rs 14,938.42 lakhs.
Of the funds released to Nagaland, Rs 8232.9 lakhs was under Supplementary Nutrition (SNP) and Rs 6688.44 lakhs was under ICDS (General).
For 2021-22 (as on February 2, 2022), the Centre has released Rs 11,382.52 lakhs to Nagaland under Anganwadi Services.
This information was given by the Union Minister of Women and Child Development, Smriti Zubin Irani, in a written reply in Rajya Sabha today.
Under ICDS projects, there are 3980 Anganwadi centers in the State, while the number of beneficiaries under SNP in Nagaland is 4,06,496. There are also 1,78,939 beneficiaries of Pre-school Education (3-6 years) in the State.
Under POSHAN Abhiyaan (as on March 31, 2021), the Centre has released Rs 5327.67 lakhs to Nagaland.
The Centre also released Rs 5,998.71 lakhs to Nagaland under Child Protection Services Scheme during the last 3 years.
Under CPS scheme, there are 37 institution care (homes) in the State and the beneficiaries in this homes are 642. There are also 3 open shelters having 113 beneficiaries, and 4 Specialised Adoption Agencies with 15 beneficiaries.
