Dimapur, March 1: The Robotic & Artificial Intelligence training and distribution was kicked off along with the celebration of National science Day under the theme “Women in Science” with Chief Scientific Officer, Dr. Zavei Hiese, Department of Science & Technology as the guest of honour on February 28 at Hopongkyu Memorial Hall Kiphire.
In his inaugural address, he stated that the main aim of organising the awareness programme is to create awareness on the latest technology on Robotic & AI, so that the students can take a career in this field and to create interest at an early age. It can also make them more preparedness, creative thinking, engagement, programming skill.
He opined that through this training, students learn the basic of Robot and AI. Therefore, he urged them to take the Robots back to their respective schools and teach others as well so as to motivate them and create a better one or something useful to the society. He stated that being an aspirational district, students of Kiphire are the luckiest one, the first of its kind in Nagaland by getting robotic kits. Also, he mentioned that the Robotic training shall cover Seyochung and Pungro block from February 29 to March 2.
The programme was chaired by Tsipongla, Area Education officer. James T. Khulu, SDO (C) Kiphire gave a short speech while vote of thanks was proposed by Lichumse Sangtam, Asst. District Coordinator, DEO Kiphire. (Page News Service)
