Rio, Tovihoto condole Michael Yaden’s demise

Dimapur, December 5: Chief Minister, Neiphiu Rio has expressed shock and grief at the demise of Michael Yaden, former Director of Civil Defence & Commandant General of Home Guards on December 4 at Chennai.
In a condolence message, Rio stated that during Yaden’s tenure, the Civil Defence Organisation as well as the Home Guard Department got commendable upgradations in terms of manpower and infrastructure developments. He took the initiative in raising the State Disaster Response Force by training several batches of policemen from various Armed
Police Battalions in the then Home Guard & Civil Defence Training Centre a Tulovi.
Stating that his death is a great loss for the people of Nagaland and the vacuum he has left will be difficult to fill, Rio and his family conveyed heartfelt condolences to the bereaved family.

MLA & Advisor, Power, Tovihoto Ayemi has expressed grief at the demise of Michael Yaden on December 4.
In a condolence message, Tovihoto said as an efficient officer, Yaden was instrumental in bringing a number of reforms in the Civil Defence and Home Guards.
He also conveyed heartfelt condolences to the bereaved family and wished the family peace, comfort, courage to overcome the grief.
