Rio inaugurates news complex of Oking Hospital

Kohima, November 25: Nagaland Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio today inaugurated the new complex of Oking Hospital and Research Clinic Kohima constructed adjacent to the old complex at Phoolbari here.
The extended complex is equipped with the modern health care facilities and has been certified by the National Accreditation Board of Hospitals, said Managing Director of Oking Hospital, Dr Vikethonyü Kesiezie while delivering the keynote address.
He said that Oking Hospital aspires to conduct robotic surgery and also open school of nursing besides have Post Graduate students for research works.
He asserted that the staff of the hospital would work to provide world class health care services.
In his address, Rio congratulated the MD and Oking family for coming up with modern technologies for those needing better health care facilities.
People of Kohima are blessed to have such high quality hospital, he said while expressing hope that the staff would provide a good hand to the patients and also continue to deliver quality health care services through the new complex. The Chief Minister also appealed Oking Hospital and research Clinic to continue with Corporate Social Responsibility while they achieve greater heights.
Meanwhile, expressing that discussions and debates on health care continues to enjoy better life, he said Naga society depends much on the taste and not on healthy eating habits. He therefore said self-control on everything including food habits and combining healthy eating with taste would help one to remain healthy.
Rev Keviyakielie Linyü pronounced the dedicatory prayer while Dr Keneinguzo Zumu delivered the welcome address and former minister Seyiekuolie Kesiezie tendered the vote of thanks. (Page News Service)
