Dimapur, February 19: Chief Minister, Neiphiu Rio has expressed shock and grief at the demise of R Kothandaraman, Legal Advisor to the Government of Nagaland, who passed away after suffering a massive heart attack today at Chennai.
Late Kothandaram had served in various capacities in the Lok Sabha Secretariat, Meghalaya, Goa and Nagaland Legislative Assemblies. He was the Legal Advisor to the Speaker, Arunachal Pradesh Legislative Assembly and also served as Consultant of the World Bank Oversight Committee, Sri Lanka. He was the legal advisor to the Government of Nagaland and had profound knowledge in the field of parliamentary procedures and law.
Stating that the tragic news of his sudden demise has come as rude shock especially when the Nagaland Legislative Assembly is gearing up for the 3rd Session (Budget Session), Rio on behalf of the Government of Nagaland, the Nagaland Legislative Assembly and his family, conveyed deepest condolences to the bereaved family members, relatives and friends.
