Dimapur, February 16: Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio has expressed grief at the sudden demise of Kelhouvikuo Kelio on February 15.
In a condolence message, Rio stated that late Kelio was a well known officer of high integrity who contributed immensely for the welfare and development of the departments he worked with. His contribution for the welfare of the people and the state would be long remembered, he added.
Late Kelio was the first Chairman of entire PWD Panchayat and a recipient of Vijya Ratna Award from the International Friendship Society, New Delhi.
Stating that his death is a great loss not only to the members of the family and the Angamis in particular, but to the Nagas in general, Rio and his wife conveyed heartfelt condolences to the members of the bereaved family and prayed to God Almighty to give them strength and courage to bear this irreparable loss.
