Review meeting of AB-PMJAY held at Zunheboto

Dimapur, December 4: District Review meeting of Ayushman Bharat-Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana (AB-PMJAY) Health Scheme was conducted at CMO Office Zunheboto on December 3 at CMO Office, Zunheboto.
Peter Lichamo, Deputy Commissioner, Zunheboto, in his short speech encouraged and urged the member to put more effort to ensure smooth implementation of the scheme and to improve the performance in the District. He said that good implementation is very important for any programes and motivated the health workers to work with mental satisfaction in helping the needy.
In his welcome note, Dr. K Akaho Sema, Dy.CMO/District Nodal Officer AB-PMJAY Zunheboto highlighted the activities of the program in the District and encouraged the member to actively participate to improve the performance of the District.
He stated that AB-PMJAY is the largest insurance scheme finance by the Government which provides cashless service for the beneficiary at the point of service in the hospital. He encouraged the Health Workers to work with dedication and sincerity and not let the poor patients deprived of the benefits.
Vibo P Jakha, District Co-ordinate, AB-PMJAY gave awareness talk and gave power point presentation on AYUSHMAN Bharat and its key features.
Kipito L Achumi, PMAM, DH, Zunheboto brief about the District wise number of individual card issued, scheme status and Empanelled Health Care Provider (EHEP) performance.
During the meeting, the house discussed that poor connectivity and lack of awareness of the scheme leading to non compliance from the public especially in remote areas are some of the major issue which hampers the smooth implementation of the program and also issues of rejection of claim to the hospital.
The members also deliberated and discussed to appraise the concerned authority to impart reorientation training for the stakeholders in the District for smooth and successful implementation of the program.
To disseminate the awareness of the scheme and to improve the beneficiary’s e-card generation in the grass root level, it was discussed and decided to issue directive to village council chairman/ colony chairman form the administration to actively involve and coordinate with the health care staff’s.
