Dimapur, April 18: The Rengma Selo Zi celebrated its 4th foundation day on April 17 at EAC HQ Tsogin with representatives from all Rengma villages attending the event.
Hichulo Semy, founding member RSZ was the speaker who spoke on the organization motto, ‘Akazü, Inyi’ ‘my land, my people’. A short speech was delivered by Soyhunlo Khing, President Chogin Range Public Organisation (CRPO). The function was attended by various other seniors, village leaders and church leaders from Tsogin range. Earlier Pastor John Tep, Logwesonyu Baptist Church invoked God’s blessings for the celebration.
The RSZ during its business hour reiterated its unreserved support to the Rengma Hoho and its frontal organization for upgradation of Tseminyu Sub division to that of District HQ.
The RSZ while striving to achieve its aspiration for Tseminyu District assured to extend its unflinching support to the lone elected representative of the Rengmas, R Khing MLA, Advisor to the Government of Nagaland, to enable all round development under the 12 Tseminyu Assembly Constituency.
Rengma youths also took the pledge to strive in unison for ‘Akazü, Inyi’.
On its foundation day, the RSZ President along with youth representatives of the Rengma villages also appealed to the Government of Nagaland to consider and deliver the genuine demand of the Rengma Tseminyu District.
Meanwhile, in order to ensure the Government offices at Tseminyu headquarter to provide efficient service to the general public, it also appealed to all designated Government officers and staffs to be present at their posting places especially stressing on the need of re-strengthening the functioning of the office of EAC Tsogin.
Further it stated that on the ongoing highway widening at NH-61, the RSZ would continue to extend it’s support to the constructing company for speedy completion of work but cautioned that it would ensure the execution of work as per specifications of the MORTH (Page News Service)
