Dimapur, August 3: The NSCN (Yung Aung) has reiterated the stand that it is willing to resolve past differences and reconcile under the banner of ‘Nagaland for Christ” and based upon Naga sovereignty.
“We recommit to uphold the spirit of oneness and brotherhood among Nagas. To this initiative we humble ourselves and confess our sins to God and seek his wisdom and strength to guide and lead us towards our goal,” said Yung Aung, president of GPRN.
In a message issued today to all apex Naga bodies, tribal council, NGOs, Churches, students, civil societies, Naga elders, etc, the NSCN (YA) said it is high time for all Nagas and revolutionaries alike to introspect deeply and be vigilant of anti national elements.
“In coming days, I am confident that Naga people will be able to distinguish what is truth and false.
“We, Nagas have wasted precious time in party politics and rivalries which keep us apart from our national objective,” he said.
The NSCN (YA) also declared that it will not rest nor give up Naga peoples’ sovereign right. “Thousands of Nagas has undergone dangerous missions, endure physical hardships and has died fighting for our freedom cause. He also clarified that the NSCN/GPRN had expelled three senior party members – Starson, Kilonser; Lt Gen Niki Sumi, Sy.C-in-C and Lt Gen Nyemlang, GS-I for violation of party discipline.
“The NSCN/GPRN emphatically wishes to clear that these expelled leaders, since the passing of our late Chairman Baba Khaplang, has isolated themselves from all party activities while still continuing to collect tax in terms of crores of rupees for themselves. They have became rich through this corruption while they failed miserably in their national duties.
“…they had no political vision whatsoever rather than joined the Indian-dictated peace process which is a huge success for the Indian RAW who are working day and night to infiltrate into our network to confuse and destroy our unity,” he alleged.
Yung Aung also thanked every Naga tribal councils, apex bodies, churches, civil societies and every Nagas for their constant moral, physical and spiritual support. “They are the source of our strength and inspiration,” he added. (Page News Service)
