
Dimapur, April 22: Nagaland Board of School Education (NBSE) has announced a one-time measure to allow students who had missed the HSLC or HSSLC Examination of 2021, due to COVID-19, appear the examination.
In a notification issued on Thursday, the board informed that any student of HSLC or HSSLC Examination 2021 who could not appear the examination in some subject(s) on being tested COVID-19 positive would be allowed to reappear their examination.
Students who had to go for COVID-19 testing and missed the examination but are now in possession of COVID-19 negative report would also be allowed.
“A COVID-19 positive candidate on being tested negative again shall be allowed to sit for the subject(s) which he/she could not appear earlier after producing a COVID-19 negative report duly certified by the Medical Department, Government of Nagaland. The examination dates and centre shall be notified later. No fees shall be realised for this category of students.
“This group of candidates shall apply officially to the Board stating the subject(s) which they intend to appear along with a photocopy of their Admit Card. The application of the student shall be duly forwarded by the respective Centre Superintendent of the Examination Centres of HSLC/HSSLC 2021,” it stated.
For HSLC Examination, application should be submitted before April 28, while the deadline for HSSLC Examination is May 5.
All Centre Superintendents and heads of institutions have been asked to disseminate this information to the candidates.
The one-time examination should be conducted strictly adhering to the SOP issued by the State Government on March 12 for conduct of HSLC & HSSLC Examination 2021, it added. (Page News Service)
