Dimapur, July 9: The NSCN (IM) has accused Governor & Centre’s Interlocutor to Naga peace talks, RN Ravi of undermining the Naga issue.
“For all purpose Ravi is undoing his own credibility as Interlocutor to Indo-Naga political talks. There is trust deficit on his role as interlocutor as he is desperately on the roll to undermine the Naga issue,” said an editorial in the NSCN (IM) mouthpiece Nagalim Voice.
The Nagalim Voice is a monthly news bulletin edited and published by the ministry of information & publicity (MIP), NSCN/GPRN.
Commenting on the Governor’s letter to the State Chief Minister on law and order situation, in which he had termed Naga groups as “armed gangs”, the editorial said, “Ravi’s bombshell is a reflection of his mishandling of Naga political issue. It speaks of his frustration and arrogance. It speaks of his insincerity and deceitfulness. It also speaks of his inclination to turn the clock back by terming the very groups he has been talking across the negotiating table as ‘armed gangs’. His assessment that the scenario in the state is grim and law and order has collapsed finds no taker as it is not supported by ground reality.”
Stating that the biggest question pricking the mind of the Nagas is if Prime Minister Narendra Modi has planted a wrong person to help him solve the long standing Indo-Naga political issue, the editorial said, “But one cannot forget that Naga issue involves blood, sweat and tears of not only Nagas but of Indians as well. It is the call of the Nagas that Ravi should settle down to prove himself his commitment to focus on Naga political solution and not resort to mischief.” (Page News Service)
