Dimapur, January 11: Nagaland were on top at stumps on Day-1 in their Ranji Trophy (2019-20) match against Arunachal Pradesh ending the day at 356/5 at the Nagaland Cricket Stadium, Sovima on Saturday.
Electing to bat first after winning the toss, a big century by SS Mundhe took Nagaland to 365/5 before he got out at the fag end of the day’s play at 166 after facing 228 deliveries. Hokaito also made 76 and Jonathan 49.
At stumps, Sedezhalie Rupero was batting on 7 and Yogesh Takawale on 13.
Cooch Behar Trophy
In the Cooch Behar Trophy (2019-20), Meghalaya bowled out Nagaland for 171 in its first inning at the Assam Valley School ground, Tezpur.
Choosing to bat after winning the toss, Nagaland batsmen got out cheaply with Hem top scoring with 50 and Afzal 30. For Meghalaya, Aryan took 4 wickets and Bipin 3.
Coming out to bat, Meghalaya were 96/3 at stumps on Day-1, trailing Nagaland by 75 runs.
