Dimapur, January 5: Chandigarh declared their first inning at 400/6 on Day-3 of the Ranji Trophy (2019-20) match against Nagaland at Nagaland Cricket Stadium, Sovima as rain interrupted major part of Sunday’s play here. Earlier the first day of the match was washed out.
Resuming from their score of 263/3, overnight centurion Manan Vohra was bowled for 121 but Raman Bishnoi scored a quick fire century (100) in the 17.3 overs play possible today before declaring at 400/6 in 70.3 overs.
For Nagaland, Nagaho took a fifer.
Later Nagaland could not come out to bat due to persistent light rains.
Cooch Behar Trophy
In the Cooch Behar Trophy (2019-20) being played at Siechem Stadium, Puducherry, Nagaland were trailing Pondicherry by 110 runs at stumps on Day-2.
Earlier continuing from their overnight score of 69/3, Pondicherry were bowed out for 247 in their first inning, with Arbaaz Uddin top scoring with 66. For Nagaland, Arjun took 6 wickets and Imtizungted took 2.
Nagaland were earlier bowled out for 127 in their first inning.
Coming out to bat in the second inning with 11 overs of the day’s play left, Nagaland lost a quick wicket but managed to negotiate the rest of the day’s play at 10/1.
Col C K Nayudu Trophy
Meanwhile in the Col C K Nayudu Trophy (2019-20), Nagaland bowled out Arunachal Pradesh for a dismal 30, and were 71/0 at stumps on Day-1 at the Jalan Outdoor Stadium, Dibrugarh.
Electing to bat after winning the toss, Arunachal Pradesh were bowled out for 30 in 16.3 overs, as no Arunachal batsmen reached double digit score with Akash top scoring with 8. For Nagaland, A Yadav took 4 wickets and Akavi 3.
Coming out to bat, Nagaland were 71 without any loss of wickets to take a 41 runs lead.
