Ranji Trophy: Chandigarh 263/3 against Nagaland

Dimapur, January 4: Chandigarh is heading for a big first inning score against Nagaland in the Ranji Trophy 2019-20 match at Nagaland Cricket Stadium, Sovima. At stumps on Day-2, the visitors were 263/3 in 53 overs. The first day’s play was washed off.
For Chandigarh, Manan Vohra scored a fine century (107), and he was well complemented by Arslan Z Khan who made 87.
The 3 Chandigarh wickets that fell were taken by Nagaho (2 wkts) and Aosashi (1 wkt).
Cooch Behar Trophy
In the Cooch Behar Trophy for U-19 boys (2019-20) against Pondicherry, Nagaland were bowled out for a meager 127 in 56.3 overs on Day-1 at the Siechem Stadium, Puducherry.
Electing to bat after winning the toss, no Nagaland boys showed any resistance and the score could have been embarrassing had it not for Yugandhar who stood tall to score 66. The next highest scorer was Hem with 26.
For Pondicherry, Aryan Bangar bagged 3 wickets and Pooviarasan M & Arbaaz Uddin took 2 wickets each.
Coming out to bat after dismissing the visitors cheaply, Pondicherry were 69/3 at stumps with Aryan Bangar making 22 and Shashank scoring 21.
For Nagaland, Arjun took 2 wickets.
Meanwhile, Nagaland U-23 Men’s team will be playing a 4-day CK Nayudu trophy match against Arunachal from January 5 at Dibrugarh, Assam.
