Ranji Trophy: Bihar in control over Nagaland

Dimapur, January 19: Bihar bowled out Nagaland for 166 and then came out all guns blazing to score 115/2 in 26 overs to take a firm grip on Day-1 of the Ranji Trophy 2019-20 tie played at Nagaland Cricket Stadium, Sovima.
Batting first after winning the toss, Nagaland inning were in shambles as Abhijeet (3 wickets) and Ashutosh (3 wkts) ran through the inexperienced Nagaland line up to finally fold at 166. For Nagaland, Imliwati top scored with 41.
Coming out to bat with 26 overs left, Bihar were 115/2 when stumps were drawn, trailing Nagaland by 51runs.
Cooch Behar Trophy
In the ongoing Cooch Behar Trophy (2019-20), Manipur need 252 runs to beat Nagaland with two days left at the James Long Stadium, Kolkata.
Manipur were bowled out for 103 in 35 overs in its first inning conceding a 103 runs lead with only Jotin reaching the double figure score (19 runs). For Nagaland, Arjun and Imtizungted took 3 wickets each.
Nagaland has earlier scored 214 in its first outing.
In its second inning, Nagaland again faltered and were bowled out for 185 with Vipul top scoring with 76. Mnaipur’s John Hmar claimed 6 wickets.
Coming out to bat in its second innings needing 288 to win, Manipur were at a precarious 45/3 in 12 overs when stumps were drawn, still needing 252 runs to win.
