PWD Minister visits Peren, Jalukie & Dimapur


Dimapur, May 3: PWD Minister, Tongpang Ozukum visited Peren, Jalukie and ongoing Bailey Bridge construction at 4th Mile Dimapur on May 3.
He visited Peren to inspect the ongoing road repair works and encouraged the engineers to gear up to show good progress on the works. The works were delayed for a month and in this regard, the Minister asked the EE (R&B) Peren Division to submit a detailed report within a week.
He observed that the work progress was very slow and told the engineers to make the works visible. The Minister said he would visit Peren again after one week to inspect the progress.
The Minister visited the office of EE (R&B) Peren Division at New DC Office Complex and held a meeting with the officials. He also visited the road leading to Peren Government College.
Later, the Minister also visited office of the SDO PWD (R&B), Jalukie where he held another meeting with the officials.
EE (R&B) Peren Division, Er. Akheto Sema, SDO PWD (R&B) Peren, Asembe, SDO PWD (R&B), Jalukie, Vimete, NDPP Candidate Peren constituency, Iherie Ndang and a host of party workers accompanied the Minister.
In Dimapur the same day, the Minister visited the ongoing construction of Bailey Bridge at 4th Mile. EE (R&B) Dimapur, Er. Talitemsu Jamir who was also present at the site informed that the Bridge construction would be completed in few days if weather permits.
Er. Tali said that the public of nearby villages were providing all out support to the department physically and morally extending their help.
The Minister also interacted with students and youths from Hope Academy, United Colony and Nikhekhu Village who were helping in the ongoing works and thanked them for supporting the department.
The Minister would be leaving for Mon on Friday to inspect the ongoing works there.
