DIMAPUR, JULY 6: Nagaland Government has revoked its May 5 order mandating private hospitals to reserve 50% of their bed capacity for treatment of COVID patients.
A DIPR bulletin on Tuesday informed that the Government’s decision was influenced by the decline in COVID positive cases in the last few weeks, which has led to a similar decrease in the number of patients requiring hospitalisation.
The State-level COVID War Room felt that the number of beds available in Government Hospitals and dedicated COVID Hospitals is sufficient to meet the requirements at present for treatment of COVID-19 patients, it stated.
Keeping this in view, the mandatory reservation of beds in Private Hospitals has been revoked until further orders.
