Purity test on food items at Kisama

Dimapur, December 5: As part of the 19th Hornbill Festival, Food Safety & Standard Authority of India (fssai) in collaboration with Food Safety Nagaland is organising laboratory test on various food items and ingredients at Naga Village, Kisama since December 1.
Food analyst, I. Ayangba who has been demonstrating experiment on various items & ingredients by using chemicals like hydrochloric acid, petroleum ether and iodine said it is very important for the consumers to know whether the items we use in our kitchen is pure or adulterated.
So far the test on various items such as tea leaves, milk powder, honey, turmeric, chilli powder, dal is going on for the public viewing as well as to create awareness about the importance and priority of our daily food items.
