PSUK extends Monyu greetings

Dimapur, April 4: The Phom Students’ Union Kohima on the ongoing eve of Phom Monyu festival 2020 has extended warm greetings to all the community members across the state.
Amidst the pandemic and keeping in mind the values of culture and traditions, the PSUK conveyed that they are enjoying this festival with respect, love, positivity and prayer within their respective home in allegiance to the norms of social distancing ordered by the Government.
It may be mentioned that Monyu festival has been one of the biggest traditional festivals celebrated by the Phom Naga from April 1 to 6 every year, normally observed after the sowing is done.
Y Molo Phom President, PSUK expressed his appreciation to the State Government as well as the denizens for the commendable cooperation being displayed in the midst of turmoil ushered in by the pandemic across the globe.
He further urged all the communities to continue to uphold ones faith in parallel to us being more patient, philanthropic, prudent and a responsible citizen. (Page News Service)
