Dimapur, December 7: A programme on Systematic Voters Education and Electoral Participation (SVEEP) stressing on Clean Electoral Roll and Clean Election was held at the town hall, Zunheboto on December 6 with Deputy Commissioner Zunheboto, Rahul Bhanudas Mali and Superintendent of Police, Vishal Chauhan as speakers.
The Deputy Commissioner said keeping past experiences in mind the administration along with the SP Zunheboto would see to it that the election is conducted cleanly and fairly which is also a core part of the Clean Election Campaign.
He further said that there are some disturbing elements like the usage of alcohol, drugs, and usages of money in luring voters, which hampers the smooth conduct of elections but assured that, the sternest of actions towards violators shall be initiated and also appealed to people for their cooperation and support in doing so.
SP Zunheboto spoke on the availability and preparedness of security saying that there are enough capable officers and security personnel to maintain tranquillity in the district.
